LIFT 8th Class
This week we started a unit study about 'thanksgiving' which we will continue until over the next few weeks.
We learned about a favorite Thanksgiving food- TURKEY!
This week went so well, and the kids really learned alot.
some of the things we did this week were:
-practiced some spelling and phonics (with T for Turkey in mind)
-we crushed egg shells with home-made 'gullets' like turkeys
- made adorable paper-plate turkeys
-played some fun turkey games!
The kids learned so much and had a blast!!!!

This week we learned about Michelangelo and Italy!
Here is some of what we did this week:
- Learned about the life of Michelangelo through books and discussion
- Drew pictures on the "ceiling of the sistine chapel" like Michelangelo did (we used the bottom of a table as our ceiling)
- Learned some fun facts about italy
- Learned to find italy on the globe, and recognize its shape
- experiment with making our own italian pasta dishes!
The kids learned a ton and had a blast!
It was an awesome LIFT class!
